STARS ARE INSANE - broken heard headquarters - BRAND NEW CASSETTE TAPE

What initially began as an idea to make another release in the spirit of 2014’s ode to lofi bedroom pop cassette release, “Pop Industry”, morphed into something else. More of a collection of there and now, snapshots of transitions in life. Not only the various rooms and environments these songs were documented but in the voice behind the songs, in myself I am reminded of the changes of self from when these moments were documented to now. As opposed to the mindset of a “proper” album, “Broken Heart Headquarters” offers various glimpses through years til now where the first of these songs was recorded in 2017. And some of the songs are closer to today’s date. Twelve songs that are each unto themselves time capsules. Lofi indie pop intermingling with slowcore and shoegaze/ambient vibes. “Broken Heart Headquarters” is limited to an edition of 30 cassettes with full color jcards and handstamped yellow cassettes with two inserts.
