Voltaic Spore is the solo project of Santa Cruz based Psycho-Synth artist Ryan Tekulve. Rooted influences from the Kosmische synth sounds of the 70s but with a greater emphasis on heaviness, Ryan explores the outer realms with trickling spore textures, wayfaring sequences and sleazy oscillation leads against doomy arpeggiations and urgent, driving 80s blast-beats.

Equally inspired by the blistering visions of body melt/bladder effects films of the 70s and 80s, Voltaic Spore occupies a distinctly monstrous corner of the synthwave scene.
